You are being transferred cross country, you are relocating across town, or you are moving out for the first time. Whatever the reason – many people already have a pet they consider to be part of the family, so they are unwilling to consider any property that does not offer that option.  
Why not offer your Geneva Lake rental property as one of the few pet friendly instead of one of the many no pets allowed properties today. You will generally get the rental rate you are asking, and you will get more of a security deposit upfront to ensure your property is covered. Added secret – most pet owners are pretty responsible people if they are unwilling to drop off a family member at the pound because of a change of address.
