I strive to live my life treating people as I would like to be treated. I think this can apply to utilizing a real estate professional's service as well. If you have engaged an agent to find a rental property, you can have a level of expectation thta they will follow through for you. Your agent should be aware of the space you require, the price point you can afford, the time frame you want to make a move, and any other item on the must have list for your new place. As the customer you should be willing to allow that agent to do the task that has been given. In other words, follow through with the agent that has taken you on. It takes knowledge of inventory, cultivated contacts, and time to come up with rental options that may or may not work in the Lake Geneva rental market.

We are not miracle workers - you cannot expect that you apply today and move in tomorrow for privately owned properties. In many cases these are homes that have been occupied as a primary home, and there is reluctance to rent the home in the first place. You need to be sensitive to an owner wanting to know that you are going to treat the property as your home.
